To the Bluff Middle School Community,

What an amazing beginning for Bluff Middle! Our students, faculty, and staff began these past two school years with a large amount of energy, excitement, and probably some anxiety as well.  The mix of feelings is completely understandable given we were all opening a brand new middle school, merging many students from five previous schools.  However, the situation was even more complicated as we were in the midst of a global pandemic!  Covid-19 in our community and world required school to look quite different these past two years than what was considered normal.  And yet we were still able to accomplish great things in our first year in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities! We quickly ascended to become the #1 school in Ascension Parish!

To Our Bluff Middle School Community,

As principal of Bluff Middle School, it is my honor to welcome our bear family back for another awesome year! Our faculty and staff are truly ecstatic to see our returning students as well as new students fill our hallways with excitement, enthusiasm, and eagerness to begin the 22-23 school year.

At Bluff Middle, it is our mission to ensure that students are met where they are academically and challenged daily to either meet or exceed their goals. Our teachers and staff will work hard to ensure that our students are provided an environment that is conducive to learning, a building that is safe, and an atmosphere where students feel comfortable taking risks in order to grow within their own academic abilities.

Parents/Guardians and community members, we look forward to a productive partnership with you this year. Working together, we can ensure that each student is successful and achieves his/her full academic potential.

Please visit our school’s website for information about upcoming school activities and events as well as pertinent information.

I wish everyone a wonderful start to the school year, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Mrs. D. Alston
